About Rachel Buckler
Rachel is a highly experienced practitioner, trainer and consultant working with a number of sectors supporting their safeguarding and child protection practices and procedures. Her career initially in childcare began over 30 years ago and she holds a number of professional qualifications including the NNEB, a BA Hons in Early Years and Education, PG Certificate in Management, and a post graduate qualification in leadership, NPQICL.

In this Early Years TV interview Rachel discusses with Kathy Brodie the important processes that IDENTIFY, HELP and PROTECT young children in the current COVID-19 context. This short interview supports early years practitioners to understand the importance of recognising abuse and neglect in young children and knowing when and how to respond appropriately through early help and child protection processes. Rachel takes the pertinent and current safeguarding themes and statistics to determine what we should be alert to and how we should respond.
