Safeguarding Reforms 2025
One of the big changes is a brand-new expectation and criteria for Safeguarding Training that ALL practitioners working in the Early Years will have to adhere to. The main areas you’ll need to work on are:
• Identifying signs of Abuse and Neglect
• How to respond, record, and refer concerns or allegations
• The Safeguarding policy and procedures of the setting
• Removal of ‘Lead Practitioner’, replaced with Designated Safeguarding Lead – with new clear expectations
• Renewing Safeguarding Training every Two Years with an optional Annual Refresher and other changes
To make sure you’re on top of all of these changes, we’ve created a handy breakdown and included more in-depth information on further changes. Plus, we’ve created some Top tips to prepare for the new EYFS requirements for safeguarding Training.
